My Bill Calendar Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 26, 2026
This policy explains what information the My Bill Calendar app ("the app") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. The app is made by Synalgic Studios ("we", "us", "our").
My Bill Calendar helps you keep track of your bills and when they're due. You never link a bank account. The app only knows about the bills you type in yourself.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account information. Your email address and a password, which you use to create an account and sign in. Passwords are handled by Google Firebase Authentication, and we never see or store your password ourselves.
- Profile information. The full name you enter when you set up your profile.
- Bill information. Details you enter for each bill: its name, amount, due date and how often it repeats (weekly, monthly, yearly or one-time). When you mark a bill as paid, we save a payment record with the date, the amount and the due date it covered.
Information collected automatically
- Time zone. Your device's time zone offset, so reminders arrive at the right local time (around 9 AM).
- Push notification details. If you allow notifications, your device's push token and a OneSignal ID linked to your account, so we can send bill reminders.
- Subscription status. Whether you have an active Premium subscription, which store it was bought in, and related purchase events (for example new purchase, renewal, cancellation or expiration). We get these from Apple through RevenueCat. We never receive your payment card details.
- App usage events. Records of actions in the app, such as signing in, adding, editing, paying or deleting a bill, opening settings, or viewing the subscription screen. These events are linked to your account ID and email address. Automatic tracking of things like page views and sessions is turned off. Our analytics provider may also receive basic device information, such as device model, operating system, language and an approximate location based on your IP address.
- Advertising data (free version only). If you use the free version, our ad provider, Google AdMob, may collect your device's advertising identifier (IDFA, which it can only get if you allow tracking), your IP address and information about how you interact with ads. See Advertising and tracking.
- App review prompts. The number of times and the dates we've asked you to rate the app, so we don't ask too often.
- Diagnostic logs. Our servers keep basic technical logs to help us fix problems.
What we don't collect
- We don't connect to your bank, and we don't collect bank or card numbers.
- We don't collect your precise location, contacts, photos or files.
2. How we use your information
We use your information to:
- create and secure your account and let you sign in on your devices;
- store and sync your bills and payment history;
- send bill reminders: before a bill is due, on the due date, and after it's past due (push reminders are a Premium feature);
- manage your subscription and unlock Premium features;
- show ads in the free version;
- understand how the app is used so we can fix bugs and improve features;
- respond when you contact us for support;
- meet our legal obligations and prevent fraud or abuse.
We do not sell your personal information, and we don't use your bill details for advertising.
3. Third-party services
We rely on these service providers to run the app. Each handles your data under its own privacy policy:
| Service | What it does for us | Data involved | Privacy policy |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Cloud Functions) | Sign-in, cloud data storage, reminder scheduling | Email, password (hashed by Firebase), name, bills, payments, time zone, subscription status | https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy |
| OneSignal | Delivering push notifications | Account ID, email address, push token, subscription status tag, reminder text (which includes the bill's name) | https://onesignal.com/privacy_policy |
| RevenueCat | Managing in-app subscriptions | Account ID, purchase and subscription history from the App Store | https://www.revenuecat.com/privacy |
| Amplitude | Product analytics | Account ID, email address, in-app events, basic device information | https://amplitude.com/privacy |
| Google AdMob | Ads in the free version | Advertising identifier (if allowed), IP address, device information, ad interactions | https://policies.google.com/privacy and https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites |
| Apple (App Store, In-App Purchase, Push Notification service) | App distribution, payments, delivering notifications | Purchase details (handled by Apple), push token | https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy/ |
We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect the rights and safety of our users or of us, or as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets. If that happens, this policy will continue to apply to your information.
4. Advertising and tracking
- Free version: the app shows a banner ad from Google AdMob at the bottom of the screen.
- App Tracking Transparency: before ads load, iOS asks whether you allow the app to track you. If you tap Allow, AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) to show personalized ads and measure their performance. If you tap Ask App Not to Track, AdMob can't access your IDFA, but it may still show non-personalized ads. You can change this anytime in Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Premium: subscribers don't see ads, and the app doesn't start the ad SDK for them.
- Ad measurement: the app supports Apple's SKAdNetwork, which measures ad results without identifying you.
- You can turn off ad tracking at any time in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
We don't sell your personal information for money. However, letting AdMob use your advertising identifier for personalized ads may count as "sharing" or "targeted advertising" under some US state laws, such as California's. You can opt out by choosing Ask App Not to Track, by turning on Limit Ad Tracking, or by subscribing to Premium. You can also contact us (see Contact).
We use your in-app activity (Amplitude) only to improve the app. We don't use it to track you across other companies' apps or websites.
5. Subscriptions and payments
- My Bill Calendar Premium is available as a monthly or yearly auto-renewing subscription, sold through the Apple App Store.
- Apple processes all payments. We never see your card number or billing address.
- We use RevenueCat to confirm your subscription status with Apple, and we save that status (subscribed or not, and which store) with your profile.
- To manage or cancel a subscription, go to Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions on your iPhone, or tap Manage Subscription in the app. Deleting the app or your account doesn't cancel the subscription automatically.
- Apple handles refunds under its own policies: https://support.apple.com/en-us/118223
- Purchases are also covered by Apple's Standard License Agreement (Terms of Use): https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/
6. Data retention and deletion
- We keep your account, profile, bills and payment history for as long as your account is active, so they sync across your devices.
- When you delete a bill in the app, it's removed from your bill list and its scheduled reminders are canceled. A record of the deleted bill may stay in our database until you delete your account.
- Deleting your account: you can ask us to delete your account and all of its data by emailing info@mybillcalendar.com from the email address on your account. We'll confirm the request and delete your data within 30 days.
- When we delete your account, we remove your sign-in account, profile, bills, payment records and scheduled reminders from our systems. We also ask OneSignal, RevenueCat and Amplitude to delete the data they hold about your account. Backups and logs may keep some data for a short time before they're overwritten.
- Apple keeps your purchase records under its own policies. We may also keep limited records when the law requires it, for example for tax or accounting.
- Our analytics and advertising partners keep data according to their own retention settings.
7. Children's privacy
My Bill Calendar is a personal finance tool made for adults. It isn't directed to children under 13 (or under 16 where local law sets a higher age), and we don't knowingly collect personal information from children. If you think a child has given us personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you and get a copy of it;
- Correct information that's wrong (you can edit your bills directly in the app);
- Delete your account and personal information;
- Opt out of targeted advertising or the "sharing" of personal information (see Advertising and tracking);
- Object to or restrict some kinds of processing, and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
- Data portability, meaning you can get your data in a commonly used format;
- Not be discriminated against for using any of these rights.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): in the past 12 months we have collected these categories of information: identifiers (email address, account ID, advertising ID, IP address); customer records (name); commercial information (subscription status and history); internet or other electronic network activity (in-app usage events and ad interactions); and inferences that ad partners may draw for advertising. We don't sell personal information for money, and we don't knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16. We don't use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that would require offering a "limit" right.
EEA/UK residents (GDPR): we process your information to provide the service you asked for (performance of a contract). We also process it for our legitimate interests, which are keeping the app secure, fixing bugs and improving features, and with your consent where required, for example for personalized ads and push notifications. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.
To make a request, email us at info@mybillcalendar.com. We may need to confirm your identity first, for example by asking you to email us from the address on your account. We'll respond within the time the law requires, usually 30 to 45 days. You can also let an authorized agent make a request for you.
9. Security
- Information sent between the app and our servers is encrypted in transit (HTTPS/TLS).
- Our cloud provider, Google Cloud, encrypts stored data at rest.
- We rely on Firebase Authentication and Google Cloud's security infrastructure to protect your account and data.
- Passwords are handled by Firebase Authentication and aren't stored by us.
No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information and to limit who can access it.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the "Effective date" above. If the changes are significant, we'll also let you know in the app or another appropriate way before they take effect.
